How to find PSA 10 and graded card comps on eBay

A comp is only useful if it is the same card in the same grade. Most bad comps come from mixing grades, counting lots, or trusting a crossed-out Best Offer price.

1. Search the sold listings

  1. Sign in to eBay. Since July 2026 eBay only shows sold listings to signed-in users.
  2. Search the card the way sellers title it: year, set, player or Pokémon, card number, grader and grade. Example: 2023 Charizard ex 199/165 PSA 10.
  3. Open Filter and turn on Sold Items. eBay shows roughly the last 90 days.
  4. Sort by Ended recently so the newest sales come first. Card prices move fast; a sale from two months ago can be far off today.

2. Keep grades apart

A search for “PSA 10” still returns PSA 9s, BGS 9.5s and raw copies whose titles mention PSA. Read each title, or exclude the others with a minus sign: Charizard 199/165 PSA 10 -9 -BGS -CGC.

GradeWhat to compare against
PSA 10Other PSA 10s only. A PSA 10 often sells for several times a PSA 9.
BGS 9.5 / SGC 10 / CGC 10The same grader and grade. Different graders sell at different prices for the same number.
RawRaw copies in similar condition. Leave out anything slabbed.

3. Leave out what misleads

4. Check the trend

Compare the median of the last 7 days with the weeks before. If the last week is clearly higher, the card is heating up; if lower, wait before you buy.

Let the browser do it

SoldScope is a Chrome extension for eBay. Free: sell-through rate and sold price median on every search (Best Offer sales excluded), plus a Sold comps button on every item page. SoldScope Pro adds Grades & 7-day trend: it splits sold prices by PSA, BGS, SGC, CGC and TAG grade, sets lots aside, drops outliers and shows whether each grade is rising or falling.
